The inspiration behind my graduation project is a result of a spiritual journey of a personal conflict between the church that sanctifies the values of faith, family and society, versus individualism and the search for my own true identity.

In a generation where rationalism determines the majority of our decisions, I'm keen to know what impact religious beliefs have on us. How can it be maintained, and how can faith be modern?

Ornaments are exceedingly essential in Catholic Vestments and are a predominant part of the dress codes and their meanings. In comparison, contemporary architecture is characterized by minimalism and functionality.

The women’s collection I designed consists of practical garments needed for every wardrobe, giving decorative elements a functional standpoint, which play an essential part in constructing the cut and the way the garments sit on the body. The accessories incorporated into the clothes are reminiscent of catholic vestments that have a fundamental part in the garments; this attempt pays homage to the modern architecture seen in contemporary churches.
